Aims of the briefing
- Discuss red flags including less obvious forms of domestic abuse, such as coercive and controlling behaviour, economic, psychological abuse, tech abuse.
- Discuss key issues for consideration when assessing risk including safety planning and risk management
- Discuss the value of multiagency working to promote effective risk and harm reduction for victims and families and inform interventions for perpetrators.
Outcomes
- Be more confident in recognising circumstances in which domestic abuse and coercive control might escalate.
- Be more confident to identify risk with a focus on recognizing victims as experts in their own experience.
- Learn best practise when analysing potential for risk
