The training is delivered by Karen Booth - Safeguarding Partnerships Officer, Safer Kirklees and DS Ryan Watson, Kirklees Adult Safeguarding Unit, West Yorkshire Police.
 
The aim of the training is to raise your awareness of Modern Slavery, including your professional responsibilities. 
 
The training covers:

•        The difference between Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking.
•        The Modern Slavery Act.
•        Statistics
•        Signs and Indicators.
•        Case Studies 
•        The National Referral Mechanism (NRM)
•        How to report your concerns.
•        Questions / Discussion.

The learning outcomes are:
By the end of this session, delegates will be able to:

•        Describe what modern slavery & human trafficking is.
•        State the signs & Indicators of modern slavery
•        Explain the NRM & it’s purpose and your role within the process.
•        Understand where to access advice and support.
 
This training is delivered face to face. 
The session will begin promptly at 9am; please arrive in plenty of time to get seated and settled before the session starts.
