The training is delivered by Julie Bates, West Yorkshire Police, Scott Gardner, West Yorkshire Police, and Karen Booth, Safer Kirklees.
 
The aim of the training is to raise your awareness of Modern Slavery/ Human Trafficking, how to report it and the processes available to support victims.
 
The training covers:

•        The difference between Modren Slavery and Human Trafficking.
•        The Modern Day Slavery Act.
•        Facts and Figures.
•        Victim - Signs and Indicators.
•        Case Studies / Scenarios
•        The National Referral Mechanism (NRM)
•        How to report your concerns.
•        Questions / Discussion.

The learning outcomes are:
By the end of this session, delegates will be able to:

•        Describe what Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking is, including the relevant offences.
•        State the signs & Indicators of MS/HT.
•        Explain the NRM & it’s purpose and the frontline workers role within the process.
•        Understand where to access advise and support.
