Target Audience:
Anyone who is currently delivering safeguarding children training and/ or experienced safeguarding children practitioners would like to become an Achieving Best Evidence Level 1 trainer to get key messages out about handling a child’s allegation of abuse / concern.
Aim:
This will enable experienced safeguarding practitioners and/ or trainers to deliver a course around handling a spontaneous allegation of child abuse / concern
By the end of the course participants should be able to deliver a course that will enable learners to:
- Define the key principles of Achieving Best Evidence
- Identify what the court needs to know, should an allegation progress to a proescution
- Explain your role in handling an allegation and the process that Social Care and the Police will follow after an allegation has been passed on to them.
